Abstract
Due to the increase in the age limit of young people under 35 in Kazakhstan, their share in the country's population structure has grown and by 2023 amounted to over 5 million 700 thousand, which represents about 30% of the total number.
On the one hand, the increase in the age of young people allows us to consider various age stages of the formation of ideas about family relations and a variety of options for the implementation of family practices in a broad prism. At the same time, new obligations are imposed on the State to create conditions for the formation and development of families.
The article analyzes the role of the institution of the family among young people, as well as the analysis of state policy in the field of preservation and promotion of family values among young people. For this purpose, the authors of the article conducted an analysis of global social trends in the youth environment, as well as an expert survey on the sphere of marriage relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The results of the study showed that there is a qualitative difference between the perception of the family as a traditional social structure and real family practice. The survey also records the insufficient participation of the state in strengthening and developing the institution of the family.
