Abstract
The article deals with economic inequality among the ethnic groups of the republic and assesses the level of material situation through the "Welfare Index". Sources and the size of incomes of ethnic groups are investigated. The features of financial and credit behavior (creditworthiness, savings), the main directions of income generation, entrepreneurial activity, as well as housing conditions are studied. The problems of economic deprivation among ethnic groups are investigated. The analysis of unemployment, problems with employment, the use of land by ethnic groups was carried out.
