Abstract

The article discusses the possibility of Kazakhstan’s using its national history as an element of soft power in its foreign policy. Particular attention is paid to the conceptual and methodological foundations of soft power, as well as to the analysis of the world-renowned ratings of soft power in terms of their applicability in assessing the «resourceness» of national history. The article proposes some perspective ways of promoting the national history of Kazakhstan among the international audiences.
