ON CERTAIN ASPECTS OF ESTABLISHING AN INTERNATIONAL HUB FOR MEDIATION IN INTERSTATE DISPUTES AND NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT

Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the growth of international conflict, increased geopolitical competition and the continued threat of the use of nuclear weapons, which raises questions about the effectiveness of international security mechanisms. The subject of the research is the concept of creating an international hub as a platform for mediation of interstate disputes and promotion of nuclear disarmament issues. The purpose of the work is to analyze the theoretical and practical foundations of mediation in international relations and identify the prospects for creating a specialized institution capable of contributing to the peaceful resolution of conflicts and strengthening international security. The methods used were system-structural, comparative-legal, analytical and other approaches, modeling and forecasting, which allowed us to identify the conceptual features and potential of the idea of creating an international hub. The novelty of the work lies in the proposal to create an independent, neutral and networked platform combining diplomatic, expert and educational functions, capable of complementing traditional international institutions. The main conclusions of the study show that the creation of an international mediation hub can increase the effectiveness of resolving interstate conflicts, strengthen trust between States, promote nuclear disarmament issues and become an innovative element in mediation. Thus, the initiative to create an international hub as a platform for mediation of interstate disputes and promotion of nuclear disarmament issues has significant potential and can be considered as one of the innovative tools for strengthening international security.
