Abstract

The publication is dedicated to analyzing the reasons that contributed to China's emergence as a leading global energy power. Based on the application of systemic, factor, and comparative analyses, as well as logical synthesis, the authors examined the process of the «green transition» being implemented in China, as well as the factors that have propelled China to the top of the world's technological elite.

The authors concludes that the achievements reached by China were made possible thanks to a targeted strategy that ensured a combination of state support, coordination of China's financial, industrial, and technological capabilities, and scientific innovations aimed at sustainable development of the country. For developing countries, including Kazakhstan, the significance of China's experience in energy development lies in the fact that it can serve as a key to ensuring their energy security and creating conditions for a «green transition», which is a major trend in global energy development.
