INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF KAZAKHSTAN'S SPIRITUAL DIPLOMACY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE HUMANITARIAN DIMENSION OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Abstract

The article examines the phenomenon of spiritual diplomacy as a promising area of the humanitarian dimension of international relations aimed at strengthening the global architecture of peace. Using the example of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the author examines the process of formation and institutionalization of spiritual diplomacy, expressed in such initiatives as Congresses of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the creation of the International Center for Interreligious and Intercivilizational Dialogue.

Special attention is paid to the conceptual understanding of spiritual diplomacy as a form of «soft power» that unites the moral and political and diplomatic resources of the state. The article analyzes theoretical approaches to understanding spiritual diplomacy in the works of foreign and Kazakhstani researchers, as well as its practical application in the context of peacemaking, intercultural interaction in the context of growing global governance. The article reveals the humanistic mission of Kazakhstan as an intermediary between East and West, capable of forming a universal language of values based on the ideas of tolerance, justice and solidarity.

The scientific article concludes that spiritual diplomacy is strategically important for building trust, preventing and managing conflicts, and promoting the principles of sustainable development in the global community.
