Abstract
In Kazakhstan, young people aged 14 to 35, representing one-third of the population, constitute an important strategic resource for the country’s socio-economic development. The contemporary value orientations and behavioral attitudes of this group significantly influence social processes, transforming life priorities and shaping new sociocultural trends.
In this context, the study of youth migration activity becomes particularly important as an indicator of profound social changes. Notably, in 2022 Kazakhstan recorded a positive migration balance for the first time in many years, which has had substantial implications for the labor market, the education system, and the social infrastructure.
This study aims to identify key trends in youth migration in Kazakhstan, with a specific focus on structural and motivational components. The research is based on official statistical data and the results of sociological surveys. The analysis of these data makes it possible to determine the factors shaping youth migration behavior, providing an important empirical foundation for the development of effective state strategies that support sustainable development and demographic stability.
