Abstract

This article analyzes the interests and strategies of the United States of America and the European Union in Central Asia within the context of changing regional and global geopolitical dynamics. In recent years, Central Asia has attracted increasing attention from major international actors due to its strategic geographical location, significant energy resources, and its role in the development of transcontinental transport corridors across Eurasia. The study examines the main political and economic priorities of the US and the EU in the region, as well as the institutional mechanisms through which their policies are implemented. Particular attention is paid to bilateral relations with the countries of CA and multilateral formats such as the C5+1 dialogue and EU-Central Asia cooperation platforms. The analysis shows that the US primarily focuses on security issues, political reforms, and regional stability, while the EU emphasizes economic cooperation, the development of infrastructure connectivity, and sustainable development initiatives. Despite differences in their approaches, both actors seek to strengthen their presence in the region and support the diversification of the foreign policy partnerships of the Central Asian States.
